An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Gipils in the 38th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Ladislao Mazurkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Zhang Cheng Ping managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's supporters rose to their feet, but Zhang Cheng Ping was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhang Cheng Ping made a kick off. Loja S.C.'s Ismael Rossell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luo Cheng in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rene Carrandi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ladislao Mazurkiewicz was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After 59 played minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Olveira. In the 60th minute, Lisandro Gipils got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Carrandi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 80 minutes, Justavino Gonta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loja S.C. and the Deportivo Peñarol FIFV players grew even worse after the yellow card.
