If Jerry Fristedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 4th match minute, Recolta Alamor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randall Jaramillo to maneuver through the defense. Dylan Beckman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Erik Sörman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dylan Beckman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Fanström, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Dominic Connelly's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Olle Tunander skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 19th minute of the game, Alfons Delin landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. VfL Wolfsburg's Ove Söderström was substituted for Alfons Delin. A collision led to Recolta Alamor getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Alonzo Donahue hit a great ball. Dylan Beckman didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when VfL Wolfsburg's Ove Söderström shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 32 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Martin Hedlund. Patrick Albom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dylan Beckman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Olle Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Ellis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Aurelio Cortes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, VfL Wolfsburg's Martin Hedlund got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Rex Ellis fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recolta Alamor's protests and gave Rex Ellis a yellow card for diving instead. 44 minutes into the match, Recolta Alamor's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Erik Sörman came free, but Dylan Beckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half VfL Wolfsburg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ove Söderström was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, VfL Wolfsburg's Patrick Albom got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Aurelio Cortes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Recolta Alamor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VfL Wolfsburg the free kick. In the 57th minute, Aurelio Cortes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Recolta Alamor's Dominic Connelly got a free kick in the 58th minute. Dylan Beckman made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Jerry Fristedt sent off a good shot on target. During the 64th minute of the match Alonzo Donahue completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alonzo Donahue a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Patrick Albom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Recolta Alamor's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Söderström came free, but Dylan Beckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Recolta Alamor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Ove Söderström scored to the left of an out of position Dylan Beckman, making the score, 0-3. In the 76th minute, Dominic Connelly left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Recolta Alamor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to Recolta Alamor getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Norberto Ivey hit a great ball. Dominic Connelly kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 97 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Fanström. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. VfL Wolfsburg had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
