The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Viktor Kúnev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Pedro Owen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jude Cruz's late challenge caught a Pryaporets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jude Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pryaporets booed when CRUZ DEL SUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jude Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Pedro Owen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Kúnev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Pryaporets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitomir Yonevski to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Cruz struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Gianluigi Donnarumma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CRUZ DEL SUR. With a little luck, Pryaporets's Gianluigi Donnarumma got control of the ball when Francisco Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Jude Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Kúnev in the 23rd minute of play forced CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Juan Pedro Owen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vid Murgelj could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gianluigi Donnarumma made a huge save. Juan Pedro Owen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Karushkov in the 33rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Gianluigi Donnarumma successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pryaporets's Gianluigi Donnarumma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Pryaporets from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Pryaporets getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Vitomir Yonevski hit a great ball. Alfonso Cruz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Jude Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the CRUZ DEL SUR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jude Cruz couldn't finish the play. Juan Pedro Owen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslav Karushkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Yanaki Bogev took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Juan Pedro Owen to make any attempt to save it. Pryaporets made a substitution. Temelko Haydushki replaced Spiridon Draganski. Yanaki Bogev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Maurín Angulo hit a great ball. With his leg Juan Pedro Owen managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Pryaporets's Viktor Kúnev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes CRUZ DEL SUR got a freekick which was hit by J.P. Cruz. After recieving a nice pass, Pryaporets's Serafim Gevrenov tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Juan Pedro Owen made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Yanaki Bogev sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute of the match, Violet Altimirski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juan Pedro Owen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Temelko Haydushki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Juan Pedro Owen made a huge save. 93 minutes into the game, Temelko Haydushki recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Pedro Owen. Temelko Haydushki showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. When the final whistle went the supporters of Pryaporets were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant CRUZ DEL SUR side.
