Spectators: 7707 (Terracing: 5782, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Humberto Castro started the match with the kick off. After 7 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Eiró. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Damaso Rencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luganeros AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damaso Rencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Vilaverde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Osvaldo Vilaverde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Humberto Castro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alejo Gaspard. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Alejo Gaspard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Castro in the 24th minute of play. Damaso Rencio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldo Vilaverde having to make a save. Osvaldo Vilaverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Rencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Luganeros AFC's Damaso Rencio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldo Vilaverde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luganeros AFC were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after VB-Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabricio Blanco took the corner. Fabricio Blanco made a great header on Luganeros AFC's corner, it was just that VB-Team's Osvaldo Vilaverde managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Luganeros AFC's Alejo Gaspard got control of the ball when Telmo Bulhosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Telmo Bulhosa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Luganeros AFC's Alejo Gaspard. Alejo Gaspard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st match minute, VB-Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Barcelos to maneuver through the defense. Flávio Eiró kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

In the 51st minute Telmo Bulhosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 51 played minutes Luganeros AFC got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Gartxot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Rencio in the 60th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Osvaldo Vilaverde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Vilaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Rencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Leandro Barcelos hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Vilaverde made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Damaso Rencio sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the game, Cornelio Eyague was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luganeros AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VB-Team the free kick. In the 75th minute, Cornelio Eyague hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejo Gaspard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Bulhosa in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of VB-Team booed when Luganeros AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Gartxot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nélson Trindade hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute of the match Fabricio Blanco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldo Vilaverde showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alejo Gaspard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Barcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabricio Blanco hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. VB-Team had played much better football throughout.
