The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, VB-Team's Humberto Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tord Waller narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 4 played minutes Le Stade Briochin UC got a freekick which was hit by Radomil Cymbal. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Rafael Matos got a free kick in the 5th minute. 10 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Gaël Rats came free, but Osvaldo Vilaverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Barcelos. In the 14thth minute of the game Gaël Rats who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VB-Team's Osvaldo Vilaverde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Radomil Cymbal put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Osvaldo Vilaverde. In the 17th minute, Jaime Espinosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Leandro Barcelos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Osvaldo Vilaverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaël Rats in the 23rd minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Gaël Pillot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Le Stade Briochin UC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VB-Team the free kick. VB-Team's Bento Prestes was substituted for Anselmo Meira. After a defensive mix-up in Le Stade Briochin UC's zone, Tiago Menezes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tord Waller came out of the goal and Tiago Menezes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Fabien Kac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Le Stade Briochin UC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabien Kac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Humberto Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Waller having to interfere. In the 35th minute Gaël Rats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Vilaverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baptiste Demestre in the 36th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Le Stade Briochin UC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baptiste Demestre to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd match minute, Le Stade Briochin UC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kylian Fortune to maneuver through the defense. Tord Waller was a little too slow when Bento Prestes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaël Rats stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Vilaverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaël Pillot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Vilaverde made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Gaël Rats sent off a good shot on target. Gaël Rats's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Osvaldo Vilaverde firmly grabbed it by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Osvaldo Vilaverde successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fabien Kac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tord Waller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Matos in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Osvaldo Vilaverde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 83 in the game by Tony Amadieu from a close distance when the talented Osvaldo Vilaverde managed to make a qualified save. VB-Team's players were relieved. In the 85th minute Humberto Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tord Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Le Stade Briochin UC's Jérôme Mure got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute, Jérôme Mure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Menezes came free, but Tord Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of VB-Team booed when Le Stade Briochin UC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Brin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
