In the 26thth minute of the game Jimmy-Floyd Sung who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de América's Flavio Nuñez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Flavio Nuñez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy-Floyd Sung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anselmo Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Estudiantes de América were furious when Matias Ler was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Flavio Nuñez had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Silverio Jaen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Nueva Adalucia's Silverio Jaen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Nuñez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Nueva Adalucia's Aitor Dorado got a free kick in the 44th minute. Flavio Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Espiridion Barrientos, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Estudiantes de América players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nueva Adalucia were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Quiroga made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Silverio Jaen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Estudiantes de América's Flavio Nuñez didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimmy-Floyd Sung got free with Flavio Nuñez in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Estudiantes de América's Flavio Nuñez got control of the ball when Mads Kollar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filiberto Ourente hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Mads Kollar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flavio Nuñez came out and tried to block the shot, but Mads Kollar slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 81st minute. Flavio Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mads Kollar, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute.
