In the 4th minute Racing Club【LBF】 were awarded a corner. Ivan Pillud went to the cornerflag to take it. Racing Club【LBF】's Ivan Pillud was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Evandro Lara in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marcelo Eufemio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Bastos in the 6th minute of play. Teofilo Eguerdi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The supporters of Marquês de Herval booed when Racing Club【LBF】 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Ticho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Eufemio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Diego Milito made a precise shot to the right of Evandro Lara. Marquês de Herval's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Evandro Lara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lisandro Lopez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. If Diego Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lisandro Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Evandro Lara made a huge save. Marcelo Eufemio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Simões's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Diego Milito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Diego Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marquês de Herval's protests and gave Diego Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Diego Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Evandro Lara got control of the ball when Eulalio Aimar tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lisandro Lopez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evandro Lara was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Racing Club【LBF】's Pascual Lesardo got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Marcelo Eufemio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute, Marcus Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marquês de Herval fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Marquês de Herval's Marcus Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lisandro Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Evandro Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Lisandro Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Diego Guimarães got a free kick in the 80th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Prata during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivan Pillud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evandro Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play.
