After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Robustiano Ubarna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evandro Lara came out of the goal and Robustiano Ubarna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, CA Quake's goalkeeper Leandro Sal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Simões. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Evandro Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 36 played minutes CA Quake got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Salbatore. CA Quake's Eugenio Vasco got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Eugenio Vasco off the ground. Eugenio Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Marquês de Herval's Evandro Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Argoitz in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's Marcus Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro Sal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 46 minutes, Robustiano Ubarna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Quake and the Marquês de Herval players grew even worse after the yellow card.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Simões made a kick off. Marcus Simões took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Sal. Leandro Sal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Marcus Simões's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Sal was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. After 68 played minutes CA Quake got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Argoitz. Marquês de Herval's Marcus Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Simões in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leandro Sal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Simões in the 83rd minute of play forced CA Quake's goalkeeper Leandro Sal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Marquês de Herval's Marcus Simões made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Sal was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Marquês de Herval getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Diego Guimarães hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marquês de Herval fans cheered their team off the field, for while CA Quake had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
