Isidoro Javiero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cactos's Gugu Montenegro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 35th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Anastasio Lixandro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celestiales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cactos the free kick. Anastasio Lixandro hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Anastasio Lixandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deivid Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Cactos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Trigo to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Damaso Donzel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Deivid Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Lixandro in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Santos during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cactos getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Diamantino Santos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Lixandro in the 73rd minute of play forced Cactos's goalkeeper Deivid Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gugu Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cactos getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Júlio Gaspar hit a great ball. A hard shot by Blas Laurendi from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Deivid Rosa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Deivid Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasio Lixandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Deivid Rosa made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Anastasio Lixandro sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 85 minutes, Gugu Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cactos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celestiales's attentive Narciso Bladi managed to snatch the ball when Diamantino Santos made a throw-in in the 96th minute of the game. The Cactos players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
