Isidoro Javiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecil Rosario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Jerry Lawler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vancouver Reds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 17 minutes, Fabio Munio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celestiales and the Vancouver Reds players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Celestiales getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Fabio Munio hit a great ball. Alvaro Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Valenzuela in the 22nd minute of the match. When Narciso Bladi fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celestiales's protests and gave Narciso Bladi a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Celestiales got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Bladi. Celestiales's Isidoro Javiero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Celestiales from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Celestiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Bladi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidoro Javiero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Séverin Dent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Javiero came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Vancouver Reds's Hassan Barth. But to his dismay, Hassan Barth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simão Lima to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Séverin Dent in the 54th minute of play forced Celestiales's goalkeeper Isidoro Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quincy Minor charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quincy Minor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. In the 65th match minute, Vancouver Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quincy Minor to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Celestiales's goal looked a bit too open when Cecil Rosario came free, but Isidoro Javiero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celestiales's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Vancouver Reds were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Celestiales for a fine match.
