The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Prometeo Perpiñán received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. In the 17th match minute, Rivermania FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Sergi to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nereo Fresco in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidel Prieto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Rivermania FC booed when Vodka Stars 1949 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariando Vila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rivermania FC's Nereo Fresco got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Rivermania FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Edur to maneuver through the defense. Donato Fliz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Epifanio Alabern went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Nereo Fresco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivermania FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Fresco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Prieto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Epifanio Alabern to make the kick off. A collision led to Rivermania FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nereo Fresco hit a great ball. When Mauricio Sergi came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Rivermania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Sergi couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Ubarna Carro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uriel Vincente hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Vodka Stars 1949's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Sergi came free, but Fidel Prieto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
