Carlos Fernando Alvarenga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dino Saraiva went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Humberto das Neves's late challenge caught a Floresta Club U18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. When Narciso Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floresta Club U18's protests and gave Narciso Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Eusébio Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Didi Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Floresta Club U18's Hudson de Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Club U18 from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd match minute, Uno Mille FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto das Neves to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Fernando Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Mattos in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Didi Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durvalino Trigo charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durvalino Trigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Floresta Club U18 booed when Uno Mille FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Claudinei Amorim sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hudson de Souza skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Floresta Club U18's Valério de Brito got a free kick in the 47th minute. Durvalino Trigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Hudson de Souza made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Didi Mattos made a kick off. Eusébio Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Alvarenga having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Uno Mille FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Amorim to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes Floresta Club U18 got a freekick which was hit by Valério de Brito. Humberto das Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hudson de Souza having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Neto in the 65th minute of play forced Floresta Club U18's goalkeeper Hudson de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
