The audience thought a goal was coming when Evandro Figueiras got free with Wang Cheng in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When SC Braga's Evandro Figueiras, in the 22nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SC Braga. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Troizen Mamalis during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Hilário Viegas hit a great ball. Timmy Ahlberg took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adelino Coelho. Adelino Coelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timmy Ahlberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingvar Nyqvist in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adelino Coelho saved SC Braga from getting behind. Timmy Ahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Adelino Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Evandro Figueiras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wang Cheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gärsnäs BF's Wang Cheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Figueiras in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Vasques. 78 minutes into the game, Josué Pacheco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Braga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gärsnäs BF the free kick. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Josué Pacheco hit a great ball. In the 80th match minute, Gärsnäs BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingmar Östlund to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Ricardo Vasques got a free kick in the 85th minute. Krister Fridlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adelino Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Krister Fridlund ran back to his position shaking his head. Timmy Ahlberg struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Adelino Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gärsnäs BF. Gärsnäs BF played a much better game than SC Braga and deserved their victory. The SC Braga players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
