Michael De Potter charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael De Potter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute Michael De Potter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Batalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, A. Korn's goal looked a bit too open when Michael De Potter came free, but Augusto Batalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of A. Korn booed when Fauna Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Vandamme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Fauna Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Diaz came free, but Vincent Dekeyser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Batalla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mattias Van de kauter in the 16th minute. Michael De Potter's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Augusto Batalla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vincent Dekeyser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Urki, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Vincent Dekeyser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cirilo Urki's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 34th minute Mike Vandamme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Batalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Dekeyser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Batalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael De Potter in the 40th minute of play. Marco Jerold hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The supporters of Fauna Utd booed when A. Korn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Demario didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Michael De Potter made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, A. Korn's Cirilo Urki got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Orlando Demario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 played minutes A. Korn got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Rik. Mike Vandamme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Michael De Potter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Batalla was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Mattias Van de kauter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fauna Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattias Van de kauter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Batalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute Michael De Potter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Batalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Vandamme took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Batalla. Augusto Batalla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Vincent Dekeyser made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Ramon Diaz sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute of the match A. Korn got a corner. Fauna Utd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cirilo Urki ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Sebastián Boselli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vincent Dekeyser quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael De Potter in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Batalla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the game, Fabian Chuan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A. Korn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fauna Utd the free kick. A collision led to A. Korn getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Fabian Chuan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lieven Huybrechts in the 73rd minute of play forced A. Korn's goalkeeper Augusto Batalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Orlando Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Fauna Utd's Mike Vandamme got a free kick in the 76th minute. Lieven Huybrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Batalla having to interfere. If Michael De Potter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, A. Korn's Mauro Rik got a free kick in the 84th minute. Augusto Batalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Vandamme, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Mike Vandamme notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of A. Korn's Augusto Batalla. Augusto Batalla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute, Michael De Potter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fauna Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Fauna Utd's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
