Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Valério Monteiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fauna Utd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mike Vandamme in the 7th minute. The corner led Fauna Utd's Mike Vandamme to fire away a dangerous shot which Valério Monteiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael De Potter in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fauna Utd's Vincent Dekeyser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Correia in the 11th minute of play. Valério Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Van de kauter in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Agroboys SM - CIMZ's zone, Mattias Van de kauter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério Monteiro came out of the goal and Mattias Van de kauter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Fauna Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Moraes came free, but Vincent Dekeyser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent Dekeyser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Araújo in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Valério Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Mike Vandamme almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Valério Monteiro did a great save. When Paulinho Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agroboys SM - CIMZ's protests and gave Paulinho Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Agroboys SM - CIMZ getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Paulinho Moraes hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Bernard Vanden Bussche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fauna Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agroboys SM - CIMZ the free kick. The supporters of Agroboys SM - CIMZ booed when Fauna Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Vanden Bussche didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Mike Vandamme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Michael De Potter came free, but Valério Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Lieven Huybrechts lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Valério Monteiro. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michael De Potter was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Michael De Potter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Fauna Utd got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Colpaert. Vincent Dekeyser made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Hoffmann in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Hoffmann got free with Vincent Dekeyser in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Mattias Van de kauter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fauna Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Lieven Huybrechts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Valério Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Dekeyser having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Agroboys SM - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Munhoz. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Mike Vandamme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fauna Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Vandamme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Michael De Potter sped through Agroboys SM - CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valério Monteiro. 84 minutes into the game, Dean De Koq was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fauna Utd's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
