Spectators: 7784 (Terracing: 5839, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 155) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brando Kecelj started the match with the kick off. Robert Steffens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jožek Puš in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 6th minute of the match JS 22 got a corner. NK FOLKROLA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barnaba Kilarski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of JS 22 booed when NK FOLKROLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mujo Tavčar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adilson Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the JS 22 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adilson Tepedino couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adilson Tepedino in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Veselko Recko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The JS 22 fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when JS 22's Adilson Tepedino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Josip Ilič kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Saverio Sindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Veselko Recko made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, JS 22's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Koren came free, but Robert Steffens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Sindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adilson Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saverio Sindo was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, JS 22's Adilson Tepedino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Veselko Recko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adilson Tepedino in the 58th minute of play forced NK FOLKROLA's goalkeeper Veselko Recko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josip Ilič hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Veselko Recko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Sindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to NK FOLKROLA getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Mujo Tavčar hit a great ball. In the 79th minute of the match Barnaba Kilarski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Veselko Recko skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, NK FOLKROLA's Borut Holcman got a free kick in the 80th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mujo Tavčar during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Robert Steffens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jožek Puš in the 85th minute of the match. Saverio Sindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Veselko Recko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
