In the 9th minute of the match JS 22 got a corner. Líbano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barnaba Kilarski ran over to the corner to take the kick. JS 22's Arnulfo Tancredo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hafiz Romad in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Adilson Tepedino might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hafiz Romad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adilson Tepedino ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Líbano booed when JS 22 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Walton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnulfo Tancredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Hafiz Romad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Líbano's Hafiz Romad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Líbano from getting a goal against them. Hafiz Romad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barnaba Kilarski's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 37th minute, Adilson Tepedino made a precise shot to the right of Hafiz Romad. Líbano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a little luck, Líbano's Hafiz Romad got control of the ball when Barnaba Kilarski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 played minutes JS 22 got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Aurken. After 46 played minutes JS 22 got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Tono. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdul Halim Aban in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Steffens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Abdul Halim Aban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Steffens was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Wassim Suoud got free with Robert Steffens in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Salim Haddad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Líbano's Hafiz Romad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Aurken in the 57th minute of play. Hafiz Romad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnulfo Tancredo went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Nour Jabbar hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Líbano's Hafiz Romad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Kilarski in the 64th minute of play. Robert Steffens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abdul Halim Aban went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 73 minutes, Arnulfo Tancredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JS 22's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Tancredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marciano Madaleno kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Angelo Tono hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The long shot by Salim Haddad in the 80th minute really tested Robert Steffens's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Hafiz Romad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Tancredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Abdul Halim Aban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Robert Steffens made a huge save. 93 minutes into the game, Barnaba Kilarski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JS 22's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Líbano the free kick. JS 22 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Líbano for a fine match.
