The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. LegionArgentina's Saul Osoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Di Yuan Liang in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute Sebastian Zieba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Osoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano de Lima having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, LegionArgentina's goal looked a bit too open when Di Yuan Liang came free, but Saul Osoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Osoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Di Yuan Liang, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaw Wicherek during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Saul Osoitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Di Yuan Liang's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. When Marcos Herrera came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the LegionArgentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Herrera couldn't finish the play. After 40 played minutes LegionArgentina got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Arnas. A collision led to Pombal 2003 F.C. getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Onur Candar hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Sebastian Zieba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pombal 2003 F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A hard shot 48 in the game by György Kósa from a close distance when the talented Luiz Fabiano de Lima managed to make a qualified save. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s players were relieved. The LegionArgentina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pombal 2003 F.C. were winning 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Di Yuan Liang to make the kick off. Sebastian Zieba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Saul Osoitz made a huge save. Sebastian Zieba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Saul Osoitz came out and tried to block the shot, but Sebastian Zieba slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 66th minute. Pombal 2003 F.C. made a substitution. The audience was convinced that Di Yuan Liang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saul Osoitz was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Di Yuan Liang in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saul Osoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. LegionArgentina's Saul Osoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save LegionArgentina from getting a goal against them. A nice corner shot did that Michel Toscano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Saul Osoitz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 95 minutes into the game, Rosendo Tabby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LegionArgentina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pombal 2003 F.C. the free kick. After 96 minutes LegionArgentina's goalkeeper Saul Osoitz managed, with a little bit of luck, save Di Yuan Liang's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. After 96 minutes of play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Di Yuan Liang made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saul Osoitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pombal 2003 F.C. played a much better game than LegionArgentina and deserved their victory. The LegionArgentina players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
