Percival de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 played minutes, Miau Stars's Anderson Sena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano de Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Miau Stars reached it. 13 minutes into the match, Hermínio Moraes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Percival de Queirós, 1-0. Percival de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Di Yuan Liang in the 16th minute of the match. After 20th play minutes Di Yuan Liang shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Percival de Queirós and just under the crossbar into goal. Percival de Queirós came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Di Yuan Liang. But to his dismay, Di Yuan Liang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 29 played minutes, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Onur Candar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Percival de Queirós came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pombal 2003 F.C. reached it. Percival de Queirós was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hermínio Moraes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 35 minute of play. Percival de Queirós was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Di Yuan Liang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Di Yuan Liang really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. Percival de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Moraes in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Onur Candar got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maria Socorro to make the kick off. With a little luck, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Luiz Fabiano de Lima got control of the ball when Maria Socorro tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Miau Stars getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rubinho Vasconcelos hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Onur Candar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Percival de Queirós showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Di Yuan Liang came free, but Percival de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percival de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Di Yuan Liang in the 66th minute of play. Percival de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Prestes in the 91st minute of the match. Nildo Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Pombal 2003 F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nildo Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pombal 2003 F.C. booed when Miau Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nildo Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Zieba in the 92nd minute of play forced Miau Stars's goalkeeper Percival de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Pombal 2003 F.C. were the better team. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
