A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Alagoano hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes WAU team got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Alagoano. Carlos Eduardo Alagoanos short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Guaberto Gasteiz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Carlos Eduardo Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Guaberto Gasteiz made a huge save. Leo Gonzales charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Gonzales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leo Gonzales hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Rossobianco's Leo Gonzales got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramón Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nunez Endira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Carlos Eduardo Alagoano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Guaberto Gasteiz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ramón Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Gonzales, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Claudinei de Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Eduardo Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. When Fidel Camerino came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Rossobianco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Camerino couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidel Camerino got free with Ramón Neves in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guaberto Gasteiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75th play minutes Carlos Eduardo Alagoano shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Guaberto Gasteiz and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 77th match minute, Rossobianco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Endira to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Laércio da Costa put in a rough tackle. Laércio da Costa hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Rossobianco's Ovidio Aimar got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ramón Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Camerino in the 86th minute of the match. Nunez Endira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramón Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. WAU team's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
