Nunez Endira started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Lucio Jado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Gasteiz was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Lyuben Chuturkov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Guaberto Gasteiz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dobrin Mishev. Lucio Jado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Guaberto Gasteiz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Lokomotiv Plovdiv getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Simon Wells hit a great ball. Nunez Endira, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Dobrin Mishev got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Lyuben Chuturkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Endira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Gasteiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucio Jado in the 38th minute. Nunez Endira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Lyuben Chuturkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Nunez Endira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Lyuben Chuturkov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Jado in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Gasteiz saved Rossobianco from getting behind. The Lokomotiv Plovdiv fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Lucio Jado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Lucio Jado was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Jado in the 84th minute of play forced Rossobianco's goalkeeper Guaberto Gasteiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucio Jado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto Gasteiz having to make a save. Guaberto Gasteiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasko Chochkov in the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Fidel Camerino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rossobianco's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Camerino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lyuben Chuturkov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Marcones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Lyuben Chuturkov made a huge save. The Rossobianco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rossobianco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
