Abel Gauargi charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Gauargi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 2nd minute, Abel Gauargi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Simões took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guaberto Gasteiz. Guaberto Gasteiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 14thth minute of the game Deivid Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rossobianco's Guaberto Gasteiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Durval Simões blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto Gasteiz having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Olivedos's Durval Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto Gasteiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 22nd minute of the match Olivedos got a corner. Rossobianco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edson Mendes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Olivedos's Edson Mendes to fire away a dangerous shot which Guaberto Gasteiz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Antônio Carlos Valadares hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Luiz Fabiano Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fabiano Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Dias to maneuver through the defense. Durval Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Gasteiz having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nunez Endira was the one to do the kick off. Guaberto Gasteiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deivid Cavalcante in the 54th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Zézinho Trevisan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olivedos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rossobianco the free kick. Zézinho Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Fidel Camerino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Víktor Mineiro. Olivedos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidel Camerino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Guaberto Gasteiz was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Deivid Cavalcante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Deivid Cavalcante really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Guaberto Gasteiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Simões in the 82nd minute of play. Deivid Cavalcante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Guaberto Gasteiz made a huge save. Rossobianco's Guaberto Gasteiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Rossobianco from getting a goal against them. 96 minutes into the game, Olivedos's Durval Simões nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guaberto Gasteiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Olivedos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
