Spectators: 7714 (Terracing: 5787, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Michel Drogba started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Christian Muc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Drogba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute Rui Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Muc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Shevchenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Muc having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, ADM Taquaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Shevchenko to maneuver through the defense. Décio Marinho didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The supporters of ADM Taquaras booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Estavan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Ibrahimovic kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Décio Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Victoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Mariano Gorosti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes, Nemesio Carlomagno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente and the ADM Taquaras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Carlomagno. Décio Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Victoro in the 27th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Baltazar França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ADM Taquaras and the Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ADM Taquaras getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Baltazar França hit a great ball. With a little luck, ADM Taquaras's Décio Marinho got control of the ball when Zeledon Sazon tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Sazon in the 30th minute of play forced ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Décio Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Muc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Donato in the 33rd minute of the match. If Jacinto Estavan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Dito Donato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ADM Taquaras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente's Jacinto Estavan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Décio Marinho. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ADM Taquaras the free kick. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Zeledon Sazon hit a great ball. In the 61st match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Cordaryal to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Jacinto Estavan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Sazon in the 64th minute of play forced ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Décio Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Muc made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Michel Shevchenko sent off a good shot on target. Décio Marinho came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Zeledon Sazon. But to his dismay, Zeledon Sazon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Independiente's Guaberto Chorche was substituted for Jacinto Estavan. 74 minutes into the game, Guaberto Chorche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Décio Marinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michel Ibrahimovic kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Christian Muc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Ibrahimovic in the 81st minute of play. Décio Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Victoro in the 83rd minute of the match. Michel Ibrahimovic who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Christian Muc when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Christian Muc made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Michel Drogba sent off a good shot on target. Amadeo Tab hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Michel Ibrahimovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Christian Muc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Independiente players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
