The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Edinson Flores cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pál Dankó was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 7 minutes into the match, Edelényi Bányász's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Hyuga came free, but Pál Dankó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinson Flores's late challenge caught a Edelényi Bányász's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edinson Flores helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Edinson Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute of the match Lajos Murai shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Carvallo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steve Hyuga in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pál Dankó saved Edelényi Bányász from getting behind. In the 12th minute, Gordon Blue ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Carvallo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Andy Polo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Edelényi Bányász's Kliment Frontov in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nova Soccer's goalie prevented a goal. In the 21st minute, Kliment Frontov made a precise shot to the right of José Carvallo. Nova Soccer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Nova Soccer's José Carvallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukács Sóti in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Soccer's zone, Márton Baló stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Carvallo came out of the goal and Márton Baló tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Nova Soccer getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Arrigo Dorigatti hit a great ball. José Carvallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kliment Frontov in the 31st minute of the match. José Carvallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kliment Frontov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Froilan Gatell's late challenge caught a Edelényi Bányász's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Froilan Gatell helped the player get up and apologised. Froilan Gatell hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Lajos Murai took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Carvallo. Nova Soccer's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 47th minute Kliment Frontov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carvallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Nova Soccer players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Edelényi Bányász were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steve Hyuga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pál Dankó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Hyuga in the 60th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Kliment Frontov came free, but José Carvallo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goalkeeper José Carvallo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lukács Sóti. José Carvallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kliment Frontov in the 68th minute of the match. Andy Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pál Dankó having to interfere. When Froilan Gatell was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. José Carvallo came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Edelényi Bányász's Kliment Frontov. But to his dismay, Kliment Frontov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Gergely Nagy kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. A hard shot 87 in the game by Kliment Frontov from a close distance when the talented José Carvallo managed to make a qualified save. Nova Soccer's players were relieved. In the 88th minute Kliment Frontov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carvallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Nova Soccer getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Edinson Flores hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Lukács Sóti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edelényi Bányász's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukács Sóti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Carvallo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lukács Sóti might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Carvallo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lukács Sóti ran back to his position shaking his head.
