Toby Herget was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Inmortales FC booed when A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alkinoos Pournaris during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Inmortales FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alkinoos Pournaris hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Garcia in the 24th minute of play forced A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's goalkeeper Chiquinho Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 played minutes Inmortales FC got a freekick which was hit by Simon Justice. A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's Chiquinho Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 from getting a goal against them. Luís Tróia's late challenge caught a Inmortales FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Garcia made a kick off. Chiquinho Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Garcia in the 52nd minute of play. Chiquinho Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Garcia struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Chiquinho Arruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inmortales FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Özkan Özkoc during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mike Clinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Chiquinho Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.
