The supporters of Gædd FK booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Şimonca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Severin Hussein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Ghițescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Uncheşelu to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Kjetil Hellevik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gædd FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca the free kick. Kjetil Hellevik kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Edvin Bredesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Ghițescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Frode Singstad hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Andreas Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Fetea in the 21st minute of the match. Tiberiu Rotariu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Kjetil Hellevik notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Dacian Ghițescu. Dacian Ghițescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when Gædd FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor-Ivar Mæhle didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Gædd FK's goalkeeper Andreas Berglund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nistor Vermeşan. 36 minutes in the game, Nistor Vermeşan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Andreas Berglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Golo Phoenix in the 40th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Severin Hussein made the kick off in the second half. Dacian Ghițescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severin Hussein in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Gædd FK booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristide Fetea didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severin Hussein in the 56th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Dacian Ghițescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dacian Ghițescu came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Gædd FK's Severin Hussein. But to his dismay, Severin Hussein quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. With 62 minutes on the clock, Wilhelm Kvande commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 62 minutes into the game, one of Gædd FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gædd FK:s Andreas Berglund showed great skill when he stopped Lucian Şimonca:s penalty. 2-2 came in the 65th minute when Lucian Şimonca all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Andreas Berglund. 73 minutes into the match, Virgil Jupân had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andreas Berglund. Gædd FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgil Jupân was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 75th minute Golo Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sorin Nicorici fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's protests and gave Sorin Nicorici a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Sorin Nicorici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nistor Vermeşan charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nistor Vermeşan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Vermeşan got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Andreas Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Jupân in the 87th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Geir-Inge Unhjem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gædd FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
