Jacinto Panpili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Chiola in the 6th minute of the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Nicolas Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Hanging Tree's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Lia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Feliz came free, but Domenico Sabatino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, The Hanging Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Micael to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Panpili was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Beppe Zoff. In the 13th minute, Nicolas Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Aurelio Mon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Hanging Tree's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorci Viola the free kick. Domenico Sabatino came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by The Hanging Tree's Nicolas Lia. But to his dismay, Nicolas Lia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Beppe Zoff's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Jacinto Panpili skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eugenio Di Giuseppe shot from long distance in the 30th minute, but Jacinto Panpili was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 31 minutes, Conrado Hermon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Hanging Tree and the Sorci Viola players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to The Hanging Tree getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Conrado Hermon hit a great ball. With a little luck, The Hanging Tree's Jacinto Panpili got control of the ball when Beppe Zoff tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute Nicolas Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Sabatino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anfilogino Chiola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Panpili was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 39th match minute, The Hanging Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Noe to maneuver through the defense. Conrado Hermon kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. With 42 minutes on the clock, Manuel Noe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Hanging Tree! The Hanging Tree:s Jacinto Panpili showed great skill when he stopped Beppe Zoff:s penalty. In the 45th minute Nicolas Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Sabatino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match The Hanging Tree got a corner. Sorci Viola's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arnaldo Perfecto ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on The Hanging Tree's corner Arnaldo Perfecto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Domenico Sabatino quite easily take care of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beppe Zoff was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Lia in the 52nd minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domenico Sabatino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Lia in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Nicolas Lia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute of the match, Nicolas Lia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Domenico Sabatino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Sorci Viola getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Eugenio Di Giuseppe hit a great ball. If Nicolas Lia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Nicolas Lia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Domenico Sabatino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonel Micael charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Micael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Leonel Micael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, The Hanging Tree's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Iezzi came free, but Jacinto Panpili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Anfilogino Chiola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Hanging Tree's Jacinto Panpili was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anfilogino Chiola in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Panpili prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domenico Sabatino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Lia in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Nicolas Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Hanging Tree's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Lia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domenico Sabatino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Panpili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Chiola in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, The Hanging Tree's Nicolas Lia got a free kick in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Hanging Tree walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
