The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dráuzio Arantes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carson Sobezak in the 7th minute. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when Leeton United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Porter Conlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Frederico Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sagarana Clube getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bebeto Moura hit a great ball. Carson Sobezak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Arantes having to interfere. Dráuzio Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Sobezak, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Carson Sobezak came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dráuzio Arantes could save by the left post. In the 27th minute Bebeto Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Downing Mueller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeferson Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Blade Pincini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dráuzio Arantes. Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dráuzio Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jervis Nurthen in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Hudson Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sagarana Clube and the Leeton United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Downing Mueller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Costa in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Frederico Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Downing Mueller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Loch hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Leeton United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Costa came free, but Downing Mueller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Paz Gledden made the kick off in the second half. Dráuzio Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jervis Nurthen in the 56th minute of play. Dale Sobezak hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Dráuzio Arantes came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Leeton United FC's Paz Gledden. But to his dismay, Paz Gledden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 67th minute, Sagarana Clube's Edu Lobo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edu Lobo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sagarana Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edu Lobo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sagarana Clube! If Jervis Nurthen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paz Gledden in the 80th minute of play forced Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Dráuzio Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blade Pincini hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Sagarana Clube's Dráuzio Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jervis Nurthen in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match Leeton United FC got a corner. Sagarana Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Porter Conlan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dráuzio Arantes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paz Gledden went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Sagarana Clube's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Leeton United FC had won, even though Sagarana Clube had held more of the ball.
