Gilmar Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Gilmar Torres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gilberto Angelucci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Passa o Tanque MZ's Silvério Netto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Passa o Tanque MZ from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the game, Andrea Ranalli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bar Marconi United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Passa o Tanque MZ the free kick. Andrea Ranalli hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Bernd Goldsche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Angelucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Passa o Tanque MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Magliocco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvério Netto. Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Passa o Tanque MZ's Silvério Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Magliocco in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Torres in the 30th minute of play forced Bar Marconi United's goalkeeper Gilberto Angelucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Passa o Tanque MZ booed when Bar Marconi United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Di Mascio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Angelucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Passa o Tanque MZ getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gilvan Cabral hit a great ball. Bar Marconi United's Arrigo Latini was substituted for Arturo Magliocco. Gilvan Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.
Gilmar Torres took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Angelucci. Gilberto Angelucci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilmar Torres in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Angelucci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bar Marconi United! Bar Marconi United:s Gilberto Angelucci showed great skill when he stopped Carlinhos Carvalho:s penalty. Gilmar Torres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Gilberto Angelucci when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gilmar Torres had several of the Bar Marconi United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 63 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Gilberto Angelucci as he didn't even see the shot coming. Emiliano Grandis scored 1-3 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvério Netto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvério Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmine Di Mascio's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Bar Marconi United's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Custódio came free, but Gilberto Angelucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélder Custódio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilberto Angelucci came out and tried to block the shot, but Hélder Custódio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute, Edmondo De Vito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Passa o Tanque MZ's Carlinhos Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilberto Angelucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Torres in the 83rd minute of the match. Gilberto Angelucci made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Rogério Gaúcho sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the game, Passa o Tanque MZ's Gilmar Torres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Angelucci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Gilmar Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Angelucci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Arrigo Latini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Hélder Custódio could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Gilberto Angelucci however easily saved by the left post. In the 94th match minute, Bar Marconi United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Africano to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Angelucci acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carlinhos Carvalho. Gilberto Angelucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernd Goldsche in the 97th minute. Gilberto Angelucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Passa o Tanque MZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Passa o Tanque MZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
