With a little luck, Jenipapo SC's Donato Nascimento got control of the ball when Bernd Goldsche tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvério Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Hélder Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute Gilmar Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Travassos came free, but Silvério Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernd Goldsche in the 15th minute of play. André Luís Leite hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute of the match Luisão Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvério Netto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gilson Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match Rômulo Guimarães sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvério Netto skillfully saved the ball. When Gilmar Torres fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Passa o Tanque MZ's protests and gave Gilmar Torres a yellow card for diving instead. Gilmar Torres hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Luisão Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvério Netto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Gilmar Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Amaral came free, but Donato Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Percy Lopes. Carlinhos Carvalho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Donato Nascimento came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Passa o Tanque MZ's Bernd Goldsche. But to his dismay, Bernd Goldsche quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Lauro Bertassi charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lauro Bertassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Lauro Bertassi got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Vitinho Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Silvério Netto. Passa o Tanque MZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 46 minutes, Dadá Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jenipapo SC and the Passa o Tanque MZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Donato Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernd Goldsche in the 49th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernd Goldsche kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donato Nascimento. That made the score 2-1 in the 49 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 57th minute Vitinho Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Passa o Tanque MZ's zone, Rômulo Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvério Netto came out of the goal and Rômulo Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Travassos in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvério Netto saved Passa o Tanque MZ from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Gilmar Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jenipapo SC's Oscar do Vale suffered a sore thigh after 69 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Bernd Goldsche charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernd Goldsche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Passa o Tanque MZ got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Gaúcho. In the 81st match minute, Passa o Tanque MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Custódio to maneuver through the defense. Rômulo Guimarães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvério Netto. Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper Silvério Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luan Vale. 87 minutes into the game, Bernd Goldsche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Donato Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donato Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Torres in the 89th minute of play. Silvério Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Travassos in the 91st minute of play. Silvério Netto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luan Vale in the 92nd minute. Gilmar Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Nascimento having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Passa o Tanque MZ had won after a very even match.
