After 8 played minutes, Bar Marconi United's Arturo Magliocco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ando Roosaare came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bar Marconi United reached it. Riivo Püha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Gilberto Angelucci made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Bar Marconi United's zone, Riivo Püha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Angelucci came out of the goal and Riivo Püha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magnus Pulver took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Angelucci. Gilberto Angelucci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gilberto Angelucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riivo Püha in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Emiliano Grandis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ando Roosaare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riivo Püha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Gilberto Angelucci made a huge save. Riivo Pühas short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Gilberto Angelucci to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Magnus Pulver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carmine Di Mascio fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bar Marconi United's protests and gave Carmine Di Mascio a yellow card for diving instead. Carmine Di Mascio hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Riivo Püha came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gilberto Angelucci could save by the left post. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Riivo Püha to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Riivo Püha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Angelucci was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alvise Africano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bar Marconi United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alvise Africano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Riivo Püha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
