The audience was convinced that Jouke Jacobs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Haro was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Jouke Jacobs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Emilio Haro made a huge save. Emilio Haro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Staarman in the 10th minute of the match. De Pelgrims's Laurens Oosterman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constancio Brufau in the 15th minute of play. Laurens Oosterman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constancio Brufau, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Koos Keupink got free with Emilio Haro in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute of the match, Jouke Jacobs got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emilio Haro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gerard van Diemen hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Job van der Schans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Guerau Villaescusa managed to get in a good position for a shot. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's supporters rose to their feet, but Guerau Villaescusa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurens Oosterman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, De Pelgrims's Jasper Staarman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jouke Jacobs's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emilio Haro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Emilio Haro made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Koos Keupink sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The De Pelgrims fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when De Pelgrims's Jouke Jacobs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 56th match minute, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ando Descalzo to maneuver through the defense. Jasper Staarman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Koos Keupink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Haro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Haro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jouke Jacobs in the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's zone, Jouke Jacobs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Haro came out of the goal and Jouke Jacobs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper Staarman in the 80th minute of play forced POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's goalkeeper Emilio Haro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Haro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper Staarman, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Emilio Haro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jouke Jacobs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. De Pelgrims's Laurens Oosterman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save De Pelgrims from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Chico Reiriz got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Jouke Jacobs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Chico Reiriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The De Pelgrims fans cheered their team off the field, for while POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
