Lanny Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Thomás Travassos made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lanny Valle got free with Thomás Travassos in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Clemente Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Paulista in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Jamel Cronshagen lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Thomás Travassos. Clemente Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Betão Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rex Izturis hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The supporters of C. A. Pipon Pipon booed when FC Barrera 2.0 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Lara made a kick off. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Clemente Armani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting a goal against them. Alex Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Armani having to make a save. In the 58th minute of the match, Betão Paulista got a very nice opportunity to score, but Clemente Armani was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Stewart Kerns fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Pipon Pipon's protests and gave Stewart Kerns a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon got a freekick which was hit by Stewart Kerns. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Lara in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Armani saved C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting behind. In the 70thth minute of the game Lanny Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Barrera 2.0's Thomás Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bill Livingston's late challenge caught a FC Barrera 2.0's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bill Livingston helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Lanny Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Lanny Valle notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Barrera 2.0's Thomás Travassos. Thomás Travassos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Lanny Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomás Travassos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Clemente Armani was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Alex Lara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alex Lara really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C. A. Pipon Pipon fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Barrera 2.0 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
