Defensores del Tiki Tiki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attard Gunners the free kick. After 4 played minutes Defensores del Tiki Tiki got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Abad. In the 9th match minute, Attard Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Diacono to maneuver through the defense. Baldomiro Inocente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rapinett having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Attard Gunners's Albert Diacono got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Rodolfo Salomon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Defensores del Tiki Tiki reached it. Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Horacio Ponc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores del Tiki Tiki from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Junior Corrado came free, but Amadeo Rapinett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Rapinett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Corrado in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Horacio Ponc got control of the ball when Thomas Zrinzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute Thomas Zrinzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes, Baldomiro Inocente made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Horacio Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Zrinzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horacio Ponc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Zrinzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Junior Corrado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Amadeo Rapinett made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Attard Gunners's zone, Sílvio Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Rapinett came out of the goal and Sílvio Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leo Tabone hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Amadeo Rapinett made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Junior Corrado sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Blas Abella got a free kick in the 97th minute. Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Horacio Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Diacono in the 98th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
