Atlético Capixaba's Telmo Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Capixaba from getting a goal against them. Telmo Andrade made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Josef Hellbom sent off a good shot on target. Marcus Vennerström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erland Slyngstad in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Vik in the 19th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Telmo Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Gol in the 25th minute of play forced Woopbongo's goalkeeper Marcus Vennerström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerson Leal struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Marcus Vennerström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Capixaba. 37 minutes into the game, Atlético Capixaba's Erland Slyngstad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Vennerström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Atlético Capixaba's Telmo Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Capixaba from getting a goal against them. Lars Vik might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Vik ran back to his position shaking his head. Telmo Andrade was a little too slow when Mats Gerdberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-2.

After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Capixaba's zone, Josef Hellbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Telmo Andrade came out of the goal and Josef Hellbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Telmo Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Hellbom in the 65th minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Erland Slyngstad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Woopbongo's Marcus Vennerström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A nice corner shot did that Gerson Leal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcus Vennerström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mete Gol got free with Marcus Vennerström in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcus Vennerström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erland Slyngstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Capixaba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gerson Leal in the 79th minute. Marcus Vennerström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mete Gol in the 81st minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Lars Vik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Capixaba's Telmo Andrade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Woopbongo booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Telmo Andrade came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Woopbongo's Lars Vik. But to his dismay, Lars Vik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
