In the 2nd minute, Salvador Roldán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albano Teodor kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Cobresal's Patricio Mayol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Hanni in the 12th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Sérgio Romero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Hanni in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patricio Mayol saved Cobresal from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Valentin Hanni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Mayol. Cobresal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Hanni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Gutenberg getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Albano Teodor hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match Lester Sanfuentes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio Romero skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Hanni in the 27th minute of play forced Cobresal's goalkeeper Patricio Mayol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gutenberg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abel Gines in the 28th minute. After taking down the ball on Gutenberg's corner Valentin Hanni fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patricio Mayol quite easily take care of the ball. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cobresal's goalkeeper Patricio Mayol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Abel Gines almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cobresal's Patricio Mayol did a great save. In the 40th minute Valentin Hanni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Mayol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albano Teodor was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's Valentin Hanni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patricio Mayol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patricio Mayol came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Gutenberg's Albano Teodor. But to his dismay, Albano Teodor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Albano Teodor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Patricio Mayol skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cobresal's Patricio Mayol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Cobresal from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cobresal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abel Gines was slow to take the kick. During this time Gutenberg's players had a chance to rest. Patricio Mayol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Hanni in the 76th minute of the match. Sérgio Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Cesarini, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goalkeeper Patricio Mayol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Hanni. Lester Sanfuentes got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 85 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Matildo Kunstmann. Gutenberg's Sérgio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Roldán in the 91st minute of play. After 92 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Celino Alico. The Gutenberg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gutenberg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
