Spectators: 7682 (Terracing: 5762, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) Xavi Thayer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Manfredo de Souza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cobresal's Patricio Mayol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Figueiredo in the 5th minute of play. Florín Sances took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manfredo de Souza. Manfredo de Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Patricio Mayol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Figueiredo in the 10th minute of play. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Renato Cesarini sped through Capibaribe Stars's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manfredo de Souza. In the 27th minute of the match Capibaribe Stars got a corner. Cobresal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Francisco Mazza ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Capibaribe Stars getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Luís Antunes hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Renato Cesarini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manfredo de Souza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manfredo de Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renato Cesarini in the 34th minute. Raimundo Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florín Sances could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Manfredo de Souza made a huge save. Manfredo de Souza made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Florín Sances sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raimundo Camargo to strike the kick off in the second half. Patricio Mayol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Figueiredo in the 51st minute of the match. Manfredo de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Matildo Kunstmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Patricio Mayol successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th minute, Pedro Luiz Figueiredo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patricio Mayol. The goal made the score 2-1. Manfredo de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavi Thayer in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florín Sances in the 66th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Manfredo de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfredo de Souza came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cobresal's Florín Sances. But to his dismay, Florín Sances quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Pedro Luiz Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Patricio Mayol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Raimundo Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Mayol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cobresal had played much better football throughout.
