Damaso Donostia didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastián Izquierdo in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Dias saved Misericordia EC from getting behind. Bob Chute in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Martín Izquierdo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nestor Lertxun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martín Izquierdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Chute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Rogelio Tauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Bob Dinamite from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Martín Izquierdo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bob Chute in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martín Izquierdo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute Caetano Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martín Izquierdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martín Izquierdo made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Bob Chute sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Sebastián Izquierdo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Martín Izquierdo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Diogo Neiva. The audience was convinced that Sebastián Izquierdo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Dias was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Santos Rocio got a free kick in the 55th minute. Martín Izquierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Dinamite in the 56th minute of the match. Sebastián Izquierdo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Carlos Dias made a huge save. Martín Izquierdo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Dinamite's shot from short distance in the 58th minute.
