In the 24th minute Shi Zhen Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asiz Phua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darren Chan hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the game, Oakham's Darren Chan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Witold Kensicki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Asiz Phua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Paciuszko in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sajeev Chong in the 37th minute of play forced Musztarda Diżą's goalkeeper Witold Kensicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Oakham's goalkeeper Asiz Phua had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucjan Jaraczewski. The corner led Musztarda Diżą's Lucjan Jaraczewski to fire away a dangerous shot which Asiz Phua despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sarb Lum tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Asiz Phua. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-3 in the 40th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Miroslaw Obuchowicz put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Musztarda Diżą:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oakham:s goal. The referee gave Oakham a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Shah Hian, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Musztarda Diżą's Witold Kensicki. 2-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Oakham's Asiz Phua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Jaraczewski in the 53rd minute of play. In the 60th minute, Leon Paciuszko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Khairul Sarangapani got free with Witold Kensicki in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Musztarda Diżą booed when Oakham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lamar Wenyong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Witold Kensicki was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Darren Chan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Darren Chan really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Musztarda Diżą's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oakham the free kick.
