After 6 played minutes Oakham got a freekick which was hit by Shah Hian. The supporters of JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC booed when Oakham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sajeev Chong didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Osorio Ubago shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Asiz Phua came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC reached it. Asiz Chandran charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Asiz Chandran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Oakham's Asiz Chandran got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 21st minute, Shah Hian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oakham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Khairul Sarangapani came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Oakham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Khairul Sarangapani couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shah Hian in the 24th minute of play forced JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's goalkeeper Salvidor Vanegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoro Cangas in the 32nd minute of play forced Oakham's goalkeeper Asiz Phua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Alessandro Del Piero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Asiz Phua. Oakham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alessandro Del Piero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Salvidor Vanegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Chan in the 36th minute of the match. Oakham's Sarb Lum was substituted for Shah Hian. In the 40th match minute, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgio Chiellini to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Vito Romeu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celestino Fandiño was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Alessandro Del Piero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Asiz Phua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Oakham's zone, Celestino Fandiño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asiz Phua came out of the goal and Celestino Fandiño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Darren Chan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Salvidor Vanegas. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darren Chan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Darren Chans short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Salvidor Vanegas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 70th match minute, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrio Adrada to maneuver through the defense. Asiz Phua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Romeu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oakham's Asiz Phua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 77th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Oakham's Asiz Chandran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Salvidor Vanegas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Oakham's Asiz Chandran got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute Sarb Lum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvidor Vanegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Sarb Lum dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Salvidor Vanegas, 2-5. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Victoro Cangas got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salvidor Vanegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sarb Lum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Oakham supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Oakham would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
