The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eloy Vela made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Oliver Rajkov sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th minute, Adolfo Tabby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Vela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Božidar Ratkoski, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 11th minute, Paulino Orixe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salmuera CP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Orixe in the 14th minute of play forced Red Bull Club's goalkeeper Ognen Zografski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Salmuera CP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Tabby to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute of the match Božidar Ratkoski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eloy Vela showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Salmuera CP from getting a goal against them. When Jose Maidana fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salmuera CP's protests and gave Jose Maidana a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Jose Maidana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 27 minutes, Lurtim Ognjanovič managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Bull Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lurtim Ognjanovič was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Adolfo Tabby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salmuera CP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Bull Club the free kick. Oliver Rajkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Eloy Vela made a huge save. After 30 played minutes Red Bull Club got a freekick which was hit by Lurtim Ognjanovič. Risto Cukovski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Eloy Vela made a huge save. Eloy Vela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lurtim Ognjanovič's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Salmuera CP's zone, Risto Cukovski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Vela came out of the goal and Risto Cukovski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Oliver Rajkov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Vela. Salmuera CP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Rajkov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Felix Feliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horacio Nevada was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Guaberto Daunte got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 52nd match minute, Red Bull Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Rajkov to maneuver through the defense. Dritan Kralevski charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dritan Kralevski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th match minute, Red Bull Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordan Redzepi to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Oliver Rajkov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Vela was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 72nd minute Dritan Kralevski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Rajkov in the 74th minute of play. After 79 minutes, Božidar Ratkoski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Bull Club and the Salmuera CP players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Red Bull Club got a freekick which was hit by Božidar Ratkoski. Eloy Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Rajkov in the 90th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
