After 5 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Cobus Wolf. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Celedonio Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Potrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Lekubegi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mirko Vervoort breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justo Dunixi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Rekers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Mijdrecht Maffia were awarded a corner. Roger Rekers went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Mijdrecht Maffia's corner Roger Rekers fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Justo Dunixi quite easily take care of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Rekers came free, but Justo Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Rein Roetering hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Gert Smits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Dunixi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Rekers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justo Dunixi having to make a save. Justo Dunixi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Smits, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 31st match minute, Mijdrecht Maffia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Rogaars to maneuver through the defense. Justo Dunixi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Rekers in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Potrero's zone, Jan Rein Roetering stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Dunixi came out of the goal and Jan Rein Roetering tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C. A. Potrero's Justo Dunixi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Smits in the 38th minute of play. In the 45th minute Roger Rekers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Dunixi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honorato Normando to strike the kick off in the second half. Mirko Vervoort was a little too slow when Camilo Tabor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Justo Dunixi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
