The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Roger Rekers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goran Altúnkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goran Altúnkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Rein Roetering in the 7th minute of play. Mijdrecht Maffia's Mirko Vervoort played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislav Angelov in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute Lauta Army were awarded a corner. Emiliyan Dalchev went to the cornerflag to take it. When Nico-Jan Daalmeyer fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mijdrecht Maffia's protests and gave Nico-Jan Daalmeyer a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mijdrecht Maffia's zone, Toshko Toshanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mirko Vervoort came out of the goal and Toshko Toshanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mijdrecht Maffia's Jan Rein Roetering got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mijdrecht Maffia's Gert Smits in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lauta Army's goalie prevented a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Lauta Army's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Rein Roetering came free, but Goran Altúnkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Rein Roetering scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Goran Altúnkov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Goran Altúnkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Rekers in the 26th minute of play. Mirko Vervoort made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toshko Toshanov in the 28th minute. Emil Rogaars kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Gert Smits made a precise shot to the right of Goran Altúnkov. Lauta Army's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Goran Altúnkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert Smits in the 36th minute of play. Lauta Army's Goran Altúnkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerrit Driel in the 40th minute of play. But to his dismay, Gert Smits quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toshko Toshanov was the one to do the kick off. Jan Rein Roetering received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Goran Altúnkov came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan Rein Roetering slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 51st minute. Gert Smits took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Goran Altúnkov. Goran Altúnkov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. With an all-out effort, Mijdrecht Maffia's Goran Altúnkov threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gerrit Driel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 60 minutes into the game, Mijdrecht Maffia's Gert Smits nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Goran Altúnkov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Mijdrecht Maffia's Jan Rein Roetering suffered a concussion after 62 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 64th match minute, Lauta Army was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Temelko Velinov to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Lauta Army's goalkeeper Goran Altúnkov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Smits. After having played for 67 minutes, Rumen Atanasov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lauta Army's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rumen Atanasov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute Roger Rekers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goran Altúnkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goran Altúnkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Smits in the 70th minute of the match. Lauta Army's Goran Altúnkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Rekers in the 72nd minute of play. Mirko Vervoort made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rumen Atanasov in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute Gert Smits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goran Altúnkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goran Altúnkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerrit Driel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerrit Driel in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Goran Altúnkov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute of the match, Roger Rekers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Goran Altúnkov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Goran Altúnkov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert van Schaik went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Goran Altúnkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert van Schaik in the 95th minute of play.
