The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatin Ibrahimović in the 26th minute of play forced C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Justo Dunixi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Potrero's Justo Dunixi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelaino Mbappè in the 40th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zlatin Ibrahimović made the kick off in the second half. If Santiago Silvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. In the 77th minute Honorato Normando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukasz Traczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes, Santiago Izotz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Potrero and the Modlau players grew even worse after the yellow card.
