The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maurício Pimentel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a huge save. Jairo Calçada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Abarca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Minho FC's Lisandro Leite got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Hildeberto Vieira. Jairo Calçada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Firmin Abenda in the 12th minute of the match. Lisandro Leite struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minho FC. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Minho FC's goalkeeper Jairo Calçada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Calçada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reinaldo Merlo during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Reinaldo Merlo got a free kick in the 25th minute. River CBBA's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Dantas in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Álvaro Dantas hit a great ball. Alex Cortez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Houseman kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Jairo Calçada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Houseman in the 37th minute of the match. When River CBBA's Tobias Abarca in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Minho FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd minute Maurício Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, He Yi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jairo Calçada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Houseman in the 57th minute of play. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Pimentel in the 59th minute of the match. River CBBA made a substitution. Tadeo Ignado replaced Rene Houseman. After 66 played minutes River CBBA got a freekick which was hit by Rene Houseman. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Tobias Abarca managed to get in a good position for a shot. River CBBA's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Abarca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Calçada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raimundo Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Isidoro Vilarinho's late challenge caught a River CBBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Vilarinho helped the player get up and apologised. Minho FC:s Jairo Calçada showed great skill when he stopped Firmin Abenda:s penalty. In the 81st match minute, River CBBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Minho FC's Isidoro Vilarinho got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute, Jerónimo Sabrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Abarca took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Calçada. Jairo Calçada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jairo Calçada was a little too slow when Tadeo Ignado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 0-2. When the final whistle went the supporters of River CBBA were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Minho FC side.
