After some careless play in the Gold Raiders FC defense, Rein Goethals kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Resul Yalın. The Gold Raiders FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Resul Yalın should have stopped the shot. Resul Yalın stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rein Goethals's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. George Van Impe kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Recai Özgen kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Gold Raiders FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rein Goethals came free, but Resul Yalın reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Rein Goethals shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Resul Yalın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uygur Üstüner hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jonathan De Smet kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rein Goethals in the 22nd minute of play forced Gold Raiders FC's goalkeeper Resul Yalın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, de belletrekkers's goal looked a bit too open when Özgür Akbora came free, but Kristiaan Van de Velde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristiaan Van de Velde came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Gold Raiders FC's Özgür Akbora. But to his dismay, Özgür Akbora quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Göksel Esenboğa was the one to do the kick off. Resul Yalın didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rein Goethals went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 57th minute Göksel Esenboğa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristiaan Van de Velde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Van Impe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Resul Yalın skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Resul Yalın didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 64th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. 66 minutes into the match, Gold Raiders FC's goalkeeper Resul Yalın had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Van Impe. George Van Impe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Resul Yalın having to interfere. After 72 minutes of play, Gold Raiders FC's Mehmet Özdilek made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristiaan Van de Velde was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rein Goethals's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Resul Yalın read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Ahmet Korkut Akçakan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gold Raiders FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave de belletrekkers the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gold Raiders FC's Ahmet Korkut Akçakan got a free kick in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Gold Raiders FC's Resul Yalın got control of the ball when Rein Goethals tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, George Van Impe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The de belletrekkers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. George Van Impe hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Gold Raiders FC were awarded a corner. Asaf Dirican went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of de belletrekkers's goalie and right to Özgür Akbora. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. de belletrekkers's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jonathan De Smet charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan De Smet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
