In the 10th match minute, The Owls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petruț Alecu to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, The Owls's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolás Valentini came free, but Ionuț Lungu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Constantin Ifrim fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Owls's protests and gave Constantin Ifrim a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, The Owls's Constantin Ifrim got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ionuț Lungu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Corderall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to The Owls getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. A.J. Bufi hit a great ball. The Owls's Ionuț Lungu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Corderall in the 15th minute of play. Ionuț Lungu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Sotil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Abuba Akotonon FC's zone, Constantin Ifrim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Tximitx came out of the goal and Constantin Ifrim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Ifrim got free with Ariel Tximitx in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A.J. Bufi charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed A.J. Bufi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Benjamin Sotil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 played minutes The Owls got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Pordea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Corderall in the 38th minute of play forced The Owls's goalkeeper Ionuț Lungu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doru Negrescu kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ionuț Lungu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Corderall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Corderall made a kick off. Ariel Tximitx came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by The Owls's Constantin Ifrim. But to his dismay, Constantin Ifrim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Edinson Cavani hit a great ball. Constantin Ifrim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Tximitx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, The Owls's goalkeeper Ionuț Lungu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Corderall. Abuba Akotonon FC's Ariel Tximitx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Ifrim in the 75th minute of play. Ionuț Lungu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Sotil in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, The Owls's Fabian Isăcescu got a free kick in the 78th minute. The Owls's Ionuț Lungu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save The Owls from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd match minute, Abuba Akotonon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Ostargi to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
