The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when The Owls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Huștea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Edinson Cavani reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ionuț Lungu. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Corderall in the 88th minute of play forced The Owls's goalkeeper Ionuț Lungu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionuț Lungu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinson Cavani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liviu Huștea hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
