Gustavo Mendonça started the match with the kick off. Adrian Katia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Esteves having to interfere. Ignacio Afonso hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Mateus Terra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alberto Abeita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Mendonça in the 11th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Gustavo Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Abeita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Mendonça in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Abeita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Abeita was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's Gustavo Mendonça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Abeita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Tião Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Lobo Guará getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Tião Botelho hit a great ball. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lobo Guará were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Cugat made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lobo Guará's Tião Botelho got a free kick in the 54th minute. After 56 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Munhoz. After 60 played minutes ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Seguinus. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Gustavo Mendonça scored to the left of an out of position Alberto Abeita, making the score, 0-4. 65 minutes into the match, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Alberto Abeita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Mendonça. The supporters of Lobo Guará booed when ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Tello didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lobo Guará getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Hugo Lucas hit a great ball. Alberto Abeita came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobo Guará's Gustavo Mendonça. But to his dismay, Gustavo Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Alberto Abeita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chu Tasso in the 84th minute of play. Gustavo Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Alberto Abeita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 95 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Lucas. The Lobo Guará supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lobo Guará would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
