In the 44th minute, Milton Friedman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Didi Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Jonas Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zak Sum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Teo to make the kick off. Fabiofs's Jonas Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azly Seng in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Fabiofs's goal looked a bit too open when Azly Seng came free, but Jonas Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zak Sum charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
